Course Summary
This course is a practical and fun introduction to mixing and mastering music. It is designed to follow on from our Audio Production Techniques (Recording) course, but is suitable for anyone with an interest in audio and music production, either as a performer, sound engineer or producer. You will work in small groups and individually to mix and master audio; supported by our knowledgeable, friendly staff.
Course Details
You will be shown, over an 8-Week period, a variety of production techniques to mix and master audio.
This will include an introduction to our industry standard, ProTools based, digital recording studios and related music equipment.
You will cover:
Session setup
Importing
Editing
Channel strip
Routing
Balancing
Equalisation
Dynamic Processing
Effects
Master bus processing
Mix down/exporting
How will it be delivered and assessed?
This course is not formally assessed.
Entry requirements
This course is aimed at beginners. A general interest in music and production is recommended.
