Course Details
You will study all of the mandatory units from the list below which relate to your job role.
Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Design Support and a Level 2 Certificate in Design. Mandatory Units:
Following design processes
Applying techniques and undertaking research to support design
Design skills such as writing and interpreting a brief
Branding
Marketing research
Presenting
Budgeting
You will also study:
Employment, Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) Booklet
Level 1 Functional Skills in English, maths and ICT
Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)
How will it be delivered and assessed?
You will be assessed by your assessor using a portfolio of evidence, practical demonstrations and assignments. You will be assessed both in college and in your place of work.
Entry requirements
Learners will need to be at least 16 years of age
You must hold three GCSEs at grade A*-C/4
It is desirable that you have English, maths and ICT at grade C/4 or above but this is not essential as Functional Skills is delivered as part of the apprenticeship programme
You need to be employed within the design and creative industry or have an employer in this area willing to take you on as an apprentice
