Drawing and Painting Part-time (FADF)

Sharpen your pencils and learn how to draw and paint properly with this 10-week course. Whether you are a complete beginner or wanting to refine your current artistic skills, the course allows you to express your creativity with a variety of techniques.

The course is aimed at those who are new to painting and drawing wanting to explore the subject by starting with the basics and those who are wishing to gain confidence and extend their knowledge further.

You will be shown over a 10 week period (two hours a week) a variety of techniques and a basic introduction to the formal elements of painting and drawing including, line, colour, texture, form, perspective and many others. You will also experiment with a number of media materials ranging from pencil, charcoal, acrylics, and oil and water based mediums to produce original artwork which can then be showcased in our annual Excellence Show at the end of the year.
