The course will develop your knowledge and understanding of the principles of information, advice or guidance. It is suitable for individuals working in, or looking to work in, a role where the provision of information, advice or guidance is a requirement. The objectives of this qualification are to prepare you to secure a job role where you provide initial information, advice or guidance to others.

This qualification aims to develop your knowledge and understanding of the key principles of information, advice or guidance and applying these within their own context by testing your skills and knowledge. It includes two mandatory units:
•Information, advice and guidance in practice.
•Developing interaction skills for information, advice or guidance.

How will it be delivered and assessed?
As the qualification tests both knowledge and skills, you will be required to collect a range of evidence to demonstrate your understanding.
Entry requirements
•You will need to be aged 16 or over.
•There are no particular entry requirements for this course, but an interest or experience in the subject would be an advantage.
