Course Summary
Printmaking is the process of making artworks by printing. This course is aimed at those who are interested in printing whether they want to start with the basics or to increase their confidence and develop their knowledge. This s an opportunity to gain confidence and build printmaking skills as part of a small group in a technician led series of sessions.
Course Details
Over the 10 week period you will be shown a variety of techniques and introduced to methods of printing including:
• Mono-printing
• Relief printing
• Woodcut
• Simple etching
• Drypoint
The more experienced can make use of the facilities to explore more advanced techniques such as:
• Reduction printing
• Aquatinting
• Photo etching You can take the opportunity to develop your printmaking skills using our traditional printing equipment. You will use oil and water based inks and the course fee covers all materials.

There are no specific entry requirements just an enthusiasm for Art and Design.
