Course Summary
This work-based learning Level 6 Top-Up degree is designed to be undertaken on completion of a foundation degree, or other Level 5 qualification, (this must hold a minimum of 240 UCAS points) in an area related to Early Years care and education and/or the support of children and families. It is ideal preparation for postgraduate training and education and/or a career in leadership in an Early Years setting or children’s centre. You will have the opportunity to develop subject expertise, while engaging with current debate and professional practice. You will be introduced to new concepts and higher order skills such as synthesis and critical evaluation.

On this course you will study a range of modules which may include the following:
Leadership in a Multi-Agency Environment
Early Years Professionalisation
Evaluating Current Debates and Developments
Work-Based Research Proposal
Project
Theoretical Perspectives: Early Learning and Early Experience.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Assessment is through a mixture of reports, essays, presentations etc.
Entry requirements
Successful completion of a foundation degree in a relevant Education area or equivalent Level 5 qualification.
GCSE grade C/4 or above in English Language (or L2 equivalent is accepted).
