Course Summary

Why not have a bash at creating your own beautiful jewellery on our silversmithing course. It might be that you have a special occasion on the horizon. Whatever the reason, the ancient craft of silversmithing is a fascinating and practical pastime to take up – and what’s more, you are likely to leave the course wearing a beautiful silver item handcrafted by yourself!

Course Details

In your first three weeks you will cover:

•Silver soldering

•Embossing

•Metal manipulation

•Etching

The remainder of the course you are free to use the skills that you have learned to make what you want. You may incur additional costs for silver of between £10 and £50 depending upon the size and quantity of the work you produce. The use of copper and brass are free.

Entry requirements

A general interest in jewellery making, this course is suitable for beginners.

Equipment required

You will work in a dedicated silversmithing workshop and all equipment will be provided.
