Course Summary

Art at A level is an exciting exploration into a wide range of media, materials and processes that you may not have used at KS4 in the BTEC qualification. You will be encouraged to work independently to your personal strengths and research a range of artists, crafts people and designers that will influence your outcomes. All these factors are used to inspire and develop a wide range of independent work.

4 Units that allow for exploration into media, materials and processes. Research of a range of artists, craft people and designers. All these factors are used to inspire and develop independent work.

Entry requirements

Merit in BTEC Art + 4 other Grade 9-4 GCSEs

Equipment required

Sketchbooks are required at a cost of £7 and a minimum of 4 expected to be used. Most materials supplied but it is a good idea to invest in some basic equipment.
