Course Summary

The Level 2 Intermediate Diploma in Electrical Installation is for 16-19 year old learners in fulltime education who are interested in a career as an electrician or electrical engineer. The qualification provides learners with the opportunity to practice and be assessed on the installation of wiring systems together with the relevant theory of electrical installation.

• Electrical Installation Craft Skills

• Electrical Science and Principles

How will it be delivered and assessed?

70% Coursework, 30% Exam

Entry requirements

Standard Level 2 Entry Requirements apply – Four GCSE passes at Grade 3, one of which will be in English. You will also need a Grade 4 in GCSE Maths. At least two GCSE subjects at Grade 3 are required alongside alternative GCSE equivalent qualifications. Please note: If you have not achieved a Grade 4 or above in GCSE English you will be required to continue studying this alongside your college course.
