Course Summary

This is a practical, highly flexible course specifically designed to meet the needs of learners wishing to acquire welding skills at an intermediate level.

Course Details

You will study the theory and practice of welding in one of the following:-

• Metal Inert Gas Welding (MIG)

• Tungsten Inert Gas Welding (TIG)

• Manual Metal Arc Welding (ARC)


How will it be delivered and assessed?

Mondays and Tuesdays 6pm – 9pm

You will complete five practical welding test pieces.

There is also an oral assessment requiring you to answer questions on welding processes and health and safety.

Entry requirements

Successful completion of City & Guilds 3268 Level 1 or relevant previous experience.
