Course Summary
Life, the universe and everything - is the answer really 42? If you want to know, Post 16 Physics could well be the course for you. Students’ knowledge from theory lessons is complemented by practical experience. We use software and the internet to assist with revision, and students have a course textbook and extensive access to past exam papers to guide them throughout. Students are expected to place a refundable deposit for a text book and buy a lab book.
Course Details
The ‘A’ level consists of 4 modules covering forces, motion and electricity (essential for engineering careers) atomic and sub-atomic physics for budding Einstein's. Also optional modules open opportunities for medicine, astronomy and historical applications of physics. Theory is enhanced with practical work and applications to everyday situations.

Students will be expected to complete all home learning to a good standard and on time. Students need to be able to show a level of independence which includes revisiting notes and seeking help when needed. Attendance to extra progress support sessions is compulsory when under performing, however attendance by all is encouraged.

100% examination at the end of the course.
Entry requirements
Min 6 in GCSE Physics or Sci & Add Sci, also must have a 6 in GCSE Maths + 3 other Grade 9-4 or A*-C GCSEs
