Equivalent to 1 A Level, so you need to choose two more subject choices

This course is ideal for students who would like to extend their knowledge of Sport and Physical Activity through vocational learning. It will provide learners with the

opportunity to develop the core knowledge, skills and understanding required by the sport and physical activity sector and to develop further skills by completing a wide range of units through a sports coaching pathway.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

2 year course comprising two written exams in the first year followed by 1 written exam in year 13. Students will complete 11 units in total. Controlled coursework and portfolio production for 8 units. All units will be graded either unclassified, Pass, Merit or Distinction.

Entry requirements

Min 4 in PE + 4 GCSE 9-4 (will have to pick two other A'level/BTEC too if selecting this course)

Your next steps...

This qualification is recognised by UCAS and will allow students to progress onto Degree courses.

Knowledge and skills gained whilst completing this course would easily be transferred into a place of work.
