Course Summary

Re-engagement programme for students who find it difficult to engage in a full-time vocational course. The course will help you develop your confidence, study skills and awareness of college expectations which will help you successfully access a vocational course of your choice the following year.

You will learn through a variety of practical activities and classroom-based and remote sessions.


Course Details

Pearson BTEC Entry to Vocational Study at either Entry Level 3 or Level 1, Work Skills at Level 2 or NCFE Award in Higher Study Skills at Level 3.

The Study Programme will deliver practical sessions in the classroom which will develop a student's self esteem, study skills to support them back into a college curriculum area and employability skills to support their development towards the world of work.

Students who have not secured a Grade 4 or above in Maths and English will continue to study those subjects to support future progression.

Portfolio based assignments and practical work.

Entry requirements

Prior qualifications will be assessed and used to determine the most appropriate level of study.

Your next steps...

Students can progress on to a full-time study programme at Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 within any area of the College, subject to meeting the entry requirements of the course and successful interview.
