Course Summary

Supply chain practitioner will have a broad understanding of the entire supply chain and must strive to ensure their impact on each function offers best value for their organisation and internal and external stakeholders. The purpose of this occupation is to move products/services from supplier to customer. Supply chain functions include procurement, forecasting, planning manufacture, customer service and logistic. Wider skills developed through this apprenticeship are effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills, effective time management, analytical skills alongside information technology and numeracy skills.

This is a work-based Apprenticeship, you will learn through on and off the job activities. Meeting regularly with your appointed assessor to gain knowledge and demonstrate skills and behaviours.


Course Details

This apprenticeship covers KSB (knowledge (know it) skills (show it) & behaviours (live it).

The above will be shown through evidence collected and produced by you. The KSB are embedded into Duties:

There are 14 duties in total. And each duty maps directly to a KSB.

Example of duties include:

  • Coordinate products and services through the supply chain
  • Apply a structured approach to solving problems within the supply chain
  • Compile reports to support the supply chain function
  • Use Data management systems to support supply chain operations


How will it be delivered and assessed?

You will be assessed using the following methods: Professional discussion, observation, producing work-based evidence, witness testimonies, written assignments.

  • Final EPA (End Point Assessment)
  • At the end of any apprenticeship is an EPA. This EPA as 3 components.
  • Multiple-choice-test
  • Project and presentation
  • Interview underpinned by a portfolio of evidence

Entry requirements

Apprentices without level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End-Point Assessment.

For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement, the apprenticeship’s English and Maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3. A British Sign Language (BSL) qualification is an alternative to the English qualification for those whose primary language is BSL.
